Lone Star Circle of Care provides a healthcare home for a large population of uninsured and underserved adults. Patients have access to quality, person-centered routine and acute care as well as chronic disease prevention, treatment and management. Our family practice physicians and certified family nurse practitioners are experienced professionals who take the time to get to know patients and provide personalized care.

Behavioral Health
LSCC provides appropriate behavioral health services for patients of all ages, from seniors and adults to adolescents and children. We employ a range of mental health professionals, including child and adolescent psychiatrists, psychologists and therapists; adult psychiatrists and therapists; as well as a psychiatrist specializing in geriatric mental health.
Under LSCC’s integrated behavioral health model, medical and mental health providers collaborate to address the complete and frequently overlapping needs of the patient. As evidence of the importance and success of this model, 40 percent of LSCC’s medical patients also have a mental health diagnosis, and more than 58 percent of LSCC’s behavioral health patients also see an LSCC provider in another service line.
By ensuring that patients who need behavioral health services have consistent, affordable access to care, including medication and psychotherapy, Lone Star Circle of Care’s integrated behavioral health program provides patients the opportunity to maintain happy, healthy and productive lives. This preventative approach helps patients avoid crisis situations, which in turn reduces the chance that they will end up in the criminal justice system and/or the emergency room.

Dentistry
Research indicates that good oral health is important to a person’s overall health and wellbeing. As a federally qualified community health center, Lone Star Circle of Care provides general dentistry services for adults and children in our communities. LSCC’s GCC Dental Center in Georgetown and Round Rock Dental Center are the only two dental clinics in Williamson County dedicated to providing affordable, accessible care to the uninsured and under-served. Our low cost, high quality dental services are the only available option for many Central Texas residents who are without dental insurance and would otherwise be unable to afford the cost of dental care.

Family Planning
Lone Star Circle of Care provides family planning services for women and men at each of our family practice clinics as well as our OB/GYN locations. We offer annual well woman exams, a variety of birth control methods, pregnancy testing, sexually transmitted disease testing and treatment, and many other services related to sexual health for men, women and teens. Our clinicians provide person-centered care in a comfortable, medical home setting.

Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) / Women’s Health
Lone Star Circle of Care provides prenatal care, labor and delivery, and postpartum care, as well as gynecological care and family planning services, for thousands of women every year who would otherwise have no healthcare home.
LSCC’s obstetricians deliver over 1,000 babies each year at local hospitals. Our OB/GYN services provide uninsured and underinsured women the opportunity to have routine, high quality prenatal care throughout their pregnancies and have their baby delivered by a doctor they have come to know and trust.
LSCC’s goal is to help our expectant mothers make healthy choices for themselves and their babies both during their pregnancy and after birth. Pediatric Primary Care
Lone Star Circle of Care provides comprehensive pediatric primary care to thousands of children and adolescents. Approximately 55 percent of LSCC’s patients are under the age of 20. Our pediatricians and certified pediatric nurse practitioners work with patients’ families to provide the best and most appropriate care for every child.
At Lone Star Circle of Care, children receive the highest quality of care available anywhere, including well child checks, immunizations, acute care, treatment for chronic conditions such as asthma, and much more. In addition, LSCC’s patients have easy access to our other services, including dentistry and behavioral health. LSCC truly provides a complete “circle of care” for children and their entire family.

Pharmacy
Lone Star Circle of Care provides low- and no-cost prescription medication for senior, adult and pediatric patients with a broad array of medical conditions by leveraging our federal status as a 340B drug provider. Administered through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the 340B Drug Pricing Program allows safety net healthcare providers to purchase prescription medication at significantly reduced prices. This allows LSCC to ensure our patients have affordable access to the medication they need.
LSCC currently has two main pharmacy locations, one in Georgetown adjacent to the Family Health and Wellness clinic in Lake Aire Medical Center at 2423 Williams Drive, and the other inside our Round Rock Health Clinic. The LSCC clinical hub at the Texas A&M Health Science Center in Round Rock will also include a Class A (comparable to retail) pharmacy for our patients. In addition, each clinic has some pharmacy capacity, with a small supply of common prescription medications and vaccines.

Senior Care
Seniors represent one of the fastest growing populations in Central Texas, and yet there is a dearth of appropriate services available to meet the needs of these residents, including senior-focused primary care and medical home oriented healthcare. Seniors are an under-served population who need regular and focused access to quality, affordable healthcare that is appropriate to meet their needs. In keeping with our person-centered, behaviorally-enhanced healthcare home model, LSCC launched a dedicated senior care service line in late 2009 to meet the needs of under-served seniors in Central Texas.
In addition to staff and providers who are specially trained and/or experienced in working with senior patients, our senior care clinics are equipped with enhanced features to accommodate this patient population, including hand rails, enlarged doors, and appropriate exam tables. Because the senior population has a high incidence of conditions such as hypertension, heart disease, arthritis, diabetes and dementia, our clinics provide a proper healthcare environment to diagnose and treat such conditions, as well as refer seniors to appropriate specialty care. Lone Star Circle of Care’s Senior Health and Wellness clinics are designed to meet the unique needs of seniors and are dedicated to ensuring that they receive the care they need in a dignified and age-appropriate manner.
